A lovely surprise! For a young wine very easy to drink with a wonderful depth of colour. We did love it with a mince ‘ pasta meal & intend to serve it with a chicken dish with friends on Thursday night! Am I right in thinking blackberry notes is the first flavour…?

Very dark ruby with purple hue. Full-bodied and smooth with aromas of smoke, blackberry, cassis and cedar box. The finish is medium-long - a great choice for those who love a big, bold, fruity wine.

Just one look and you can see how dark and velvety this bottle is.... with very long legs. Take a sip and you get flavours of chocolate (and went great with dark chocolate), blackberries and blueberries. Considering the bottle is quite high in alcohol its still very smooth and maintains a nice light smell. It's not sweet but has a little residual sugar. The medium body and light tannins lead to a long finish with an after taste of light spice and bark.
